A Daredevil reboot show with Charlie Cox is reportedly being developed with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige producing the series.
Daredevil originally streamed on Netflix for three seasons. Matt Murdock also appeared in The Defenders. Surprisingly, Netflix canceled Daredevil in 2018, leaving the show on a cliffhanger season finale, fans have wanted to see more of Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock. Audiences got their wish, sort of, when Cox’s Murdock made a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Now there are rumors that a new chapter of Daredevil’s live-action stories will continue in other shows like She-Hulk, Echo and more.
According to Production Weekly, Marvel Studios is working on a new Daredevil project. It’s being referred to as a Daredevil reboot series which will be produced by Kevin Feige and Chris Gray. Disney and Marvel Studios seem to be working quickly to get the series off the ground. The production listing doesn’t include any other cast members asides from Charlie Cox who will be back to star as Matt Murdock in any MCU project with Daredevil.
When Charlie Cox came back as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home, that solidified his return to potentially lead more Daredevil reboot projects. There’s been news that an MCU project starring the Devil of Hell’s Kichen could start filming before the year ends.
Daredevil’s MCU future became slightly more clear when Disney brought the first three seasons of Daredevil and the rest of Netflix’s Marvel shows to Disney+. There was also Vincent D’Onofrio’s return as the King Pin in the Hawkeye series on Disney+. This move opened the door for the series to potentially include a Daredevil season 4, but a reboot is more likely to happen.
Marvel Netflix’s Daredevil series along with Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, The Punisher and The Defenders are now streaming on Disney+.
