The Book of Boba Fett Chapter 2 Spoilers Below
The Book of Boba Fett Chapter 2: “The Tribes of Tatooine” primarily focuses on Boba Fett’s history with the Tusken Raider Tribe that helped him after escaping from the sarlacc. The episode also continues to follow Fett and Fennec Shand (Ming-na Wen) as they investigate a group of assassins who attempted to them in Chapter 1.
They take a trip to Mos Espa to speak with the Mayor and Madam Garsa (Jennifer Beals) regarding the assassins. The visit ends up with the Hutt twins, who controlled the criminal underworld of Tattooine through Jabba. It is also the first time fans got to see a live-action version of the Wookie “gladiator” named Black Krrsantum who became a bounty hunter for the twins. Boba Fett shows no weakness towards Krrsantum and the Hutt twins. They part ways but now Fett and Shand have more concerns than ever.
Black Krrsantum first appeared in 2015’s Darth Vader comic. He and Boba Fett have history. The Hutt lent the Sith two of the best bounty hunters in the galaxy which makes the two crossing paths in The Book of Boba Fett episode 2 even more interesting for viewers who are familiar with the comics.
During a conversion with SFX Magazine, The Book of Boba Fett star Temuera Morrison said that Star Wars Universe expert Dave Filoni helped him connect the dots on some Boba Fett details. This is when Morrison realized there is so much love for the character meaning the pressure was on to make a good show for Star Wars fans.
“That’s where we kind of opened up too much of the can at times, I think,” Morrison explained when he was asked about ‘too many answers’. “I did have my reservations, but hey, I trust the people I work with. I was so lucky I had people like Dave Filoni who has an ability to connect some of the dots, some of the ancient dots, and to keep that authenticity. I relied on him a lot, because I’m not one of these actors that reads every comic book and every bounty hunter book.”
After Star Wars: Return of the Jedi failed to expand Boba Fett’s character, The Book of Boba Fett hopes to reveal more of the infamous bounty hunter from a galaxy, far, far way.
“There will definitely be a number of answers,” Morrison confirmed. “Some long-winded answers. Some short and sharp answers. Some colorful answers. We’re filling a lot of gaps.”
The Book of Boba Fett episode 1 and 2 are now streaming on Disney+ with new episodes every Wednesday.
