She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Episode 4 starts with a magic show. An amateur magician performs to a sparse crowd in the theater. He brings up a drunk lady, Madisynn (two Ns, one Y… and it’s not where you think) to aid in his next act. More on that later.
After turning a white rose red, he announces his name: Donny Blaze (Rhys Coiro). The audience is not impressed. Donny then attempts to open a portal with one of the magical rings used by Wong (Benedict Wong) and Doctor Strange. The audience is impressed by the portal he opens.
Meanwhile in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Episode 4, in Nepal, Wong is relaxing at his sanctum, watching The Sopranos. The drunk woman from the act falls through the portal into Wong’s room. She’s holding a heart and asks where all the goblins went.
Wong asks where this woman came from. After giving rambling about her past places, Wong asks if a loser magician sent her here. She explains she got sent to another world where she spoke with a talking goat.
Wong, clearly seeing the woman as drunk, offers to send her home. She says she can’t remember but looks at the TV and spoils the Sopranos episode for him. Wong, angered, says Blaze will pay for this crime.
Back in LA in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Episode 4, Jennifer (Tatiana Maslany) is getting ready for work. She addresses the camera and speaks about how everybody loves Wong in her own show. Her dad then enters the room, confirming that she’s at her family’s home.
After her dad explains he’s digging holes for some reason, Jen explains that she didn’t call the police after she was recently attacked by The Wrecking Crew. She stresses that the cops wouldn’t do anything and that she can handle these punks on her own. She also says dad can help with defense if they come back.
At the office, Jen, now in her Hulk form, sets up a dating profile using her human form as the profile picture. Nikki then enters her office and turns on the TV where her recent interview aired. Nikki recommends Jen get some new clothes.
Wong then enters the office via portal. He tells Jen that he has a legal situation on his hands and needs her help. He explains all about Donny Blaze and how he was a disgraced magician who now performs at the Mystic Castle.
As Jen writes notes, Wong brings up how Donny is dangerous for being an amateur at magic. Wong’s ultimate goal is to ensure nobody who is unlicensed can use the mystic arts. Jen then starts asking if Wong provided any legal documents to make sure Donny couldn’t use magic this way and he says no.
Wong tries to explain that he answers to a higher calling. Jen then tries to explain she works within the means of the legal system. Wong then leaves his card with simple magic reveal and leaves through his portal in a huff.
Later that evening, Jen meets with Nikki (Ginger Gonzaga) at a restaurant where they go over Blonksy’s (Tim Roth) parole brief. A man approaches attempting to buy them drinks but they stress that they’re working right now. He eventually leaves and Jen tells Nikki the guy is a prime example of why she doesn’t date.
Sensing that Jen made a dating profile, Nikki makes her show it to her. Nikki gives Jen some pointers on choosing guys and making profile pictures. Nikki recommends she make her profile She-Hulk but Jen stresses she wants someone to love her as her true self. Jen is somewhat satisfied that she finds one match.
The next day, Jen and Wong have a meeting with Donny Blaze at the theater. They issue a warning for Donny to cease the mystic arts for his show. Donny is outraged and challenges Wong to a magic competition.
Jen shoots the idea down quickly and issues a cease and desist. After Donny comments on Jen’s match on a dating app, she leaves. Wong performs a brief bit of magic before leaving as well.
Later that evening, at Finney’s bar, Jen goes on her date with a New Yorker. He brings up how he hates LA, hasn’t founded a new job yet and is easily distracted. She brings up how she’s a Hulk and he doesn’t seem interested.
The date turns tense when they go for their bags. He brings out his keys and leaves. Jen is left with the bill and a terrible date.
The next day in court, Jen and Wong filed a complaint against Donny. The judge asks for witnesses and Wong reluctantly says he has one. He opens a magical portal and calls the drunk woman into the court.
Jen leads the woman to stand for questioning. She states her name as Madisynn (Patty Guggenheim). Jen asks Madisynn to explain her magical journey and she explains her interaction with a demon.
Jen starts regretting this decision with how Madisynn explains her adventure, as does Wong. Donny’s lawyer then suggests the case be thrown out for Donny’s magic being fun. Jen then stresses that Donny’s mystic arts are far more dangerous than mere card tricks.
Donny tries to impress the judge with his magic trips, as do his lawyers. Wong then speaks about the importance of how men like Donny need to be stopped from casting dangerous spells. The judge says she’ll review but says Donny can still practice magic.
Wong recommends sending Donny to the mirror dimension. Jen tells Wong not to worry. Wong and Madisynn then leave the court together, talking about The Sopranos.
At home, Jen works late on the case. Frustrated with having no matches, Jen finally decides to post her She-Hulk profile. She finds there are tons of matches.
The next few nights in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Episode 4, Jen dates men in her She-Hulk form. She’s still dismayed at the weird men she attracts. One geek only cares about her powers and calls her a specimen.
The next date, however, turns out to be a decent guy. He is kind and intelligent, offering to split some fries with her. Jen recommends they get them to go.
Meanwhile, Donny is performing yet another magic show where he opens a portal. The female audience participant refuses to go into the portal. Donny says he’ll try something different and makes a bird appear that lays an egg in the woman’s hand.
The egg, however, hatches to reveal a monster that grows quickly. Donny tries to shoo away the creature into his portal. The creature, however, comes back with even more flying monsters, terrifying the audience.
Donny then opens a portal to Wong’s home, begging him for help. Wong says he’ll help but only for the sake of the universe. He also tells Donny to call Jen.
Jen’s date is going so well that she turns off her phone. She tries making out with her date but it goes down awkwardly. Wong then enters her room through a portal and says he needs her now.
Jen follows Wong into the theater where they try to stop demons. She uses her Hulk powers to fight them but the creatures are rather resilient. Wong starts sending all the demons through portals using his powers.
While working, Jen speaks angrily about finding a good date. The demons grow more violent, as does Jen. She finally chucks all of them through a portal except for one.
She corners Donny and forces him to stop using magic in return for sending the demon away. Donny agrees. Jen says the office will be in touch.
Jen returns to her date and takes him to bed. She wakes up the next morning pleased with her night. She turns on the TV and watches the news.
Her date wakes up to discover Jen in her human form. Her date says he won’t be staying for breakfast. Jen feels a tad disappointed that she most likely won’t be seeing him again.
Jen is greeted at the door by a process server. She is served documents by Titania, filing a copyright dispute over the name She-Hulk. Jen then addresses the camera, stating this was a bummer way to end the episode and that there’s probably a fun tag.
The She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Episode 4 mid-credit scene features Madisynn and Wong watching The Sopranos. Wong goes over all the hard drinks he’s had. He says he’s tried vodka and yak’s milk while stating his favorite drink is gin and tonic.
The She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Episode 4, which was part of Disney+ Day premieres, and the first three episodes are now streaming on Disney+.
