Disney+ Day has arrived. It’s a day where Disney’s streaming platform celebrates the properties that helped it spring into prominence. Properties from The Mandalorian and WandaVision to new upcoming series and films like Thor: Love and Thunder, She-Hulk, Pinocchio and more.
Today, Disney+ Day features new releases from its brand including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star in international markets. There are also some behind-the-scenes videos and clips.
The special event will also feature deals and promotions across Disney’s theme parks. Select AMC theaters are hosting live screenings of Disney, Marvel and Star Wars classics for the event. It also kicks off D23 Expo — Disney’s fan event in Anaheim, California. D23 Expo runs from September 9 to September 11.
There are many exciting films and series debuting today. Thor: Love and Thunder premiered earlier this summer. The Taika Waititi directed Marvel film starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson and Christian Bale is now streaming.
A live-action remake of Pinocchio also premiered on the streaming platform. The Disney film stars Tom Hanks, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, Cynthia Erivo, Keegan-Michael Key and more. It’s a retelling of the classic Disney story with live-action visuals of the 1940 animated film.
You can also experience several behind-the-scenes featurettes including Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return and Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of Thor: Love and Thunder.
A new series called Tierra Incógnita, an Argentinian mystery series that sees a teen and his friends try to find answers for his parents’ disappearance in Tierra Incógnita, also premieres today for Disney+ Day.
