Ms. Marvel season finale takes place after Kamran (Rish Shah) used his powers to blow up a drone from the DODC. The crime scene is blocked off by police and the DODC investigates. Agent Deever, realizing the threats they’re dealing with are more dangerous, orders a lockdown on New York City.
The lockdown is for Bruno (Matt Lintz) and Kamran who are currently on the run. While on the subway, Kamran discovers his powers affect everything he touches. Kamran is injured and Bruno helps him flee from agents.
When they encounter agents on the subway, Kamran accidentally starts using his energy powers to push back the agents. With the agents held back, Bruno and Kamran flee.
Meanwhile in the Ms. Marvel season finale, Kamala (Iman Vellani) and her family have just arrived home. Kamala tells her family she has an announcement. After some stammering, she tells the truth, “I am Light Girl.”
Her brother is confused by this name. Kamala sighs and states the more common name associated with her, “Night Light.” The family pretends to be surprised as Kamala’s parents already spilled the information.
As the family crowds with questions, Kamala’s father states how proud he is of his daughter. He is cautious, however, and hopes that Kamala will be careful out there with her powers. She assures him that she will.
Kamala’s brother, Aamir (Saagar Shaikh), gets a facetime call from Nakia (Yasmeen Fletcher). Kamala takes the phone from him. Nakia asks if she’s heard from Bruno since his store exploded.
Kamala Gets A Look
Up in her room, Kamala starts packing. Her mother enters with a box for her. She opens it to discover a superhero costume fitting her look, complete with scarf. Kamala loves it.
Out on the streets of New York City in the Ms. Marvel season finale, Kamala bounds across the skies making energy platforms. Her confidence in her powers is more stable than ever.
Bruno and Kamran come to the mosque where Nakia is currently at. Nakia stresses it’s a bad idea for fugitives to hide in an American mosque of all places. She tells them to head for the high school instead since it’ll be empty.
As the DODC locks down the city, they arrive at the mosque. Agent Deevers and her agents arrive to ask for IDs. The mosque, well aware of government organizations crowding their place of worship, assure her they know the drill.
DODC states they’re looking for a high-level threat who is Pakistani. The mosque tries to stall by offering Deever cookies and quoting Abraham Lincoln. Deever, unmoved, orders her agents to search the mosque.
Nakia tries to redirect Deever away from one room. When the plan doesn’t work, Nakia volunteers to open the door. Bruno and Kamran are nowhere in the cleaning room.
Elsewhere in the mosque, Bruno and Kamran are given disguises by the mosque leader before the exit. The disguises are not very good as they’re baseball caps that say Haram. They promptly leave.
As they exit into an alley, Kamala arrives in her new costume. They both ask what they’re wearing. Bruno and Kamala embrace. Kamran’s powers grow more unstable. He starts causing shockwaves of energy. He screams out in pain, saying he feels like he’s being crushed from the inside. With the cops on the way, all three of them flee.
Night descends on the city. Kamala and Bruno help Kamran through the city streets. Kamala tells Bruno and Kamran to go on ahead. Realizing she needs help, Kamala calls Kareem for help. He tells her to get them to the harbor by midnight. After hanging up, Kamala meets up with Bruno, Kamran, and Nakia at the high school.
Kamala takes this opportunity to apologize to Nakia. The DODC has already arrived. Kamran tries to stress they only want him and decides to give himself up instead of everybody else taking the fall. While the four of them debate what to do next, they are joined by Zoe (Laurel Marsden). Zoe reveals she films her TikToks in the school theater. Realizing she owes Kamala for saving her, Zoe wants to help.
With the five friends banding together in the Ms. Marvel season finale, they form a plan to get away from the DODC. Outlined in an illustrative format, Kamala comes up with an elaborate distraction involving science and softballs. Also, Aamir arrives to help out as well.
As the DODC prepares their weapons, Deever speaks with her superiors. The scene looks bad for the DODC and she’s ordered to evacuate. Deever says she understands but defies orders anyway and calls in more units.
While the elaborate plan is prepared, Zoe and Nakia speak about honesty. Kamala and Bruno also catch up on what’s happening with the Clandestine. Aamir tries to get to know Kamran a bit more. Realizing Kamran doesn’t know about his mother, Bruno tells Kamala to keep this information a secret from him.
The DODC advance on the high school by busting down the doors and entering with their energy guns. The armed agents entering identify a device they believe to be a bomb. What it turns out to be is a radio that plays music, complete with a disco ball.
After taking out the radio, Kamran gets into a chase with the armed agents. At the same time, Zoe starts stating the situation at the high school over TikTok with the DODC. She calls for help from all her followers.
As the armed agents pursue, the friends use fire extinguishers to confuse them about where they are. A detour to the science lab leads to elephant toothpaste overflowing in the room. The chemicals extend to the stairway as well.
Kamala and Kamran flee from the agents. They hide in one of the offices and have a tender moment holding hands. The agents nearly find them until they’re distracted by the other friends.
Kamala discovers Kamran’s powers when she touches his hand. The two have a moment until Bruno arrives. Bruno tells them to get out of there while he forms a distraction for the other agents, showcasing his dance moves as the agents apprehend him.
A chase through the gym leads to Zoe, Nakia, and Aamir firing softballs at them. The distraction seems to work until more agents arrive from behind. Zoe, Nakia and Aamir are apprehended.
Kamala and Kamran discuss the Red Daggers and why they’re too dangerous to trust. They try to escape out the window but Kamran stops. He asks what happened to his mother.
Before Kamala can answer, an agent breaks through the glass. Kamran attempts to use his powers on the agent but Kamala blocks his attack with her own powers. The agent is injured and Kamala is sent flung into a toilet.
Kamran leaves the bathroom and Kamala follows, stressing that the Clandestine are evil for wanting to destroy this world. Kamran, however, believes she was doing the right thing. He then learns of her death.
As agents approach, an angered Kamran uses his powers to crush the agents with lockers. Kamala then uses her energy powers to restrain Kamran. He breaks free and takes off down the hallway.
Outside the high school the Ms. Marvel season finale, many civilians are crowding and protesting the DODC. Deever orders her agents to surround the building. Kamran blows the doors off the high school, exiting to a slew of cops and agents taking aim at him.
Deever instructs him to get on his knees over a loudspeaker. Kamran, bitter about his mother’s death, refuses. The cops open fire and Kamran blocks with his powers.
Kamala arrives on the scene and forms a bigger shield to protect Kamran. Deever orders the agent to cease fire. She then fires a giant energy weapon that obliterates Kamala’s shield, sending her and Kamran flying back.
Kamala crawls over to Kamran as Deever prepares to fire again. Kamala then uses her powers to form a full-body shield. She soars through the sky and smashes the energy weapon of the DODC.
The other agents start firing. Kamala pushes them away with her powers. Kamran starts fighting off the agents as well with his own energy powers, despite being cruder than Kamala’s work.
Deever is nearly injured by a car Kamran sends flying towards her. Kamala, however, catches the car before it hits civilians. She places the car down as the audience cheers.
Deever, however, still wants to take down Kamran. Kamran uses his powers to create an energy wave that pushes everybody back. He starts losing control of his ability to create crystallized energy.
Kamala slowly pushes her way through the energy waves. She calls out to him to stop. She forms a dome of energy that cuts him off from expanding.
Kamran speaks of how nobody in this world will accept them. Kamala stresses how Kamran’s mother wanted her to live for a reason. Kamran, however, doesn’t see how he can keep living after what he’s done.
Kamran says he doesn’t feel normal but Kamala says there is no such thing as normal. She buys him some time to get to the harbor by creating a hole in the ground. When Karman leaves, Kamala makes the dome disappear.
Deever orders the agents to apprehend her. The community, however, forms a barrier around her, protecting her from authorities. This includes the cops as well.
Kamala takes this time to form energy steps and leave through the air. Deever gets a call from her superiors to leave. She will also be fired.
In the days that follow in the Ms. Marvel season finale, TikTokers start talking about how exciting it was to be around this new superhero. Kamala watches with great emotion. She stands in her room looking at herself in the mirror, impressed with how far she’s come in her dreams.
Kamala exits her bedroom window to the roof. Her father joins her for a heartfelt chat. Elsewhere, Kamran meets up with Kareem.
Kamala Is Now Ms. Marvel
Kamala’s dad asks her superhero name and she says she’s still figuring it out. He then starts talking about how her name means perfect and marvel. Kamala is surprised that her name sounds so similar to Carol “Captain Marvel” Danvers.
After having an embrace with her father, Kamala takes off into the night with her powers. Her father watches her dash off and merely states “Magic. Absolute magic.”
One week later, Kamala meets up with Bruno and Nakia. Bruno gives his farewells as he prepares to go off to college. He also informs Kamala that there’s some sort of mutation he discovered in her genes, like a mutation.
While interesting, Kamala marks it off as just another label. Nakia then invites them for a drive in a new car. The three friends share a laugh as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives.
