Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is only a couple weeks away and its rolling out new clips following the Marvel film’s big premiere. The new Wakanda Forever clips debuted on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where Black Panther 2 stars Lupito Nyong’o, Danai Gurira and Letitia Wright made an appearance on the show to promote the movie.

The new clips from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and the interview with Kimmel addressed the central subject on all fans’ minds — the loss of Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman and the sequel not having King T’Challa.

The first new Wakanda Forever clip featured Okoye (Danai Gurira) and Nakia (Lupito Nyong’o) sitting down and sharing their grief over T’Challa’s death. Nakia is particularly affected because of her relationship with T’Challa. The scene reveals Nakia was not in Wakanda or with T’Challa when he passed away.

The second clip for Wakanda Forever was a more lighthearted. It shows Okoye and Shuri (Letitia Wright) paying Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) a visit in her dorm room. The meeting isn’t quite friendly at first as Riri seems freaked out to see the leader the Dora Milajae in her room. Riri is resistant and throws her bluetooth speaker at Okoye. Okoye slices it in two with her retractable spear. The clip turns into fun when Riri makes a joke about Okoye’s head and Shuri tries to hide her laugh.

The two new clips reveal the tones audiences will find in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The first clip being more emotional due to the loss of their King and also the loss of the actor. The second clip is lighter in tone with Okoye, Shuri and Riri’s playful banter. As one can predict, Wakanda Forever will highlight the leadership and strength of the women of Wakanda.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premieres in theaters November 11, 2022.

You can watch the first Wakanda Forever clip below as part of the Jimmy Kimmel Live interview starting at 7 minutes and 10 seconds and the second clip soon after.
