The Walking Dead Origins series premieres with Daryl’s Story, the first episode in a series of specials streaming exclusively on AMC+. The new series, now streaming, retells the stories of the key survivors from The Walking Dead with interviews and narrations from the actors who play them. So far, the series will have specials for Maggie Rhee (Lauren Cohan), Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Carol (Melissa McBride), and Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus).
Each new episode of The Walking Dead Origins, premiering on Thursdays, will feature a sneak peek at TWD’s eleventh and final season. It will also include The Best of The Walking Dead — a new collection featuring fan-favorite episodes for each character.
In The Walking Dead Origins Daryl’s Story, Norman Reedus revisits Daryl’s character arc from “a loner to protector and guardian of his chosen family” through ten seasons of The Walking Dead. Reedus will narrate the 60-mimute special, which consists of clips from past episodes of TWD. The episode will end with an exclusive scene from the two-part TWD season 11 premiere airing August 15th on AMC+ and August 22nd on AMC.
