The team-up between Disney+ and Marvel Studios has excited plenty of fans over the past year, and on Friday, Jan. 8, the pair will present the latest Marvel Universe TV show, Marvel Studios: Legends.
Marvel Studios: Legends will look at the backstories of some of the heroes, villains and signature moments from the MCU, and prepare viewers for some of the anticipated stories ahead in 2021 and beyond via new TV shows coming to Disney+.
According to Comicbook.com, the premiere episode will revolve around The Vision and Scarlet Witch, offering a timely look back at the two Avengers’ journeys, as well as behind-the-scenes details as actors Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen gear up to portray the popular characters in the new show, WandaVision.
For those who aren’t familiar with their story, Wanda Maximoff’s first appearance came in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and she was proven to be a powerful adversary of The Avengers, eventually becoming an even more powerful ally.
This development came about thanks to her relationship with Vision, a hero with an artificial form of life, who fights on the side of humanity.
During his story in Marvel Studios: Legends, we’ll see Vision on his quest to understand humans more fully, evolving to be more like them, and detail his deeper exploration into a romantic relationship with Wanda.
Marvel Studios: Legends will also explore Wanda’s story as she grapples with cruel hardships and loss, a chaotic power that she strives to control, and shifting loyalties from those she trusts most.
More about both characters will be revealed when the 9-episode Wandavision premieres on Jan. 15.
Disney+ has a lot of great Marvel content expected in the year ahead, including a Black Widow movie and the TV show, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and all of these characters are expected to get their own episode in the Marvel Studios: Legends series.
