Top Gun: Maverick Early Reviews Reveal Another Tom Cruise Win
The original Top Gun film released over 30 years ago. Director Tony Scott and Tom Cruise delivered a high-octane thrilling action movie that featured a school for the best Navy pilots. On May 27th, fans will once again see Cruise’s Peter “Maverick” Mitchell fly amongst the best. Top Gun: Maverick is directed by Joseph Kosinski and has been one of the most anticipated films since the first trailer dropped online.
The Top Gun sequel will feature Cruise returning to the fighter pilot school to help train a younger generation of pilots such Rooster, son of Nick “Goose” Bradshaw (Anthony Edwards), played by Miles Teller. Their relationship will be the central conflict in the sequel. Top Gun: Maverick trailers repeatedly focus on the practical flying sequences Cruise and his costars participated in. This time around, Cruise and the rest of the actors really are flying in F-18s.
