The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon series sees the return of actor Norman Reedus as he makes his return to The Walking Dead Universe as TWD fan-favorite Daryl and AMC dropped the first sneak peek of the spinoff show.
In The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, the titular character washes ashore in France. The spinoff series will track Daryl’s journey across a post-apocalyptic France while having to piece together how he got there and ultimately will have to find a way back home.
The series will pick up with Daryl after the events of the main show. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon clip shows him wandering the French countryside, trekking across the remnants of the zombie apocalypse before finding what looks to be an abandoned building.
Joining Reedus in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon are Clémence Poésy, Adam Nagaitis, Anne Charrier, Eriq Ebouaney, Laika Blanc Francard, Romain Levi and Louis Puech Scigliuzzi. The spinoff series is executive prodiced by Scott M. Gimple, showruner David Zabel, Norman Reedus, Greg Nicotero, Angela Kang, Brian Bockrath and Daniel Percival.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon serves as the fifth spinoff show based on The Walking Dead franchise created by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard. Daryl Dixon’s first season will consist of six episodes. David Zabel wrote the first episode and co-wrote the second episode with Jason Richman. Colin Abert is credited with writing the third episode while Shannon Goss is credited with writing the fourth episode. Zabel and Richman team up again for the fifth episode. Richman and Laura Snow are co-writing the season finale.

“In The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, Daryl washes ashore in France and struggles to piece together how he got there and why. The series tracks his journey across a broken but resilient France as he hopes to find a way back home. As he makes the journey, though, the connections he forms along the way complicate his ultimate plan.”
