The Walking Dead (TWD) will have an upcoming 11th season, which will mark the end of the AMC original series. While fans are going to have a tough time saying goodbye, creators have assured viewers that for some characters of the beloved series, there’s more in store.

In recent years, this zombie franchise has grown into a world that includes not only the original series, but also two spin offs, which have been met with great success. As a result, AMC has been working closely with writers, producers, and directors to come up with an untitled Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) spin-off, which will allow for the The Walking Dead universe to grow in a different direction than the one fans have grown used to. Producers hope that fans will enjoy this new chapter for Daryl and Carol as these character shave so much more to offer.

The world of the walking dead is constantly evolving.

In order to keep that tempo, producers felt that these two characters were the perfect pair to take viewers into the ever-expanding journey of TWD. Rest assured that while there is always a great deal of familiarity in TWD spin offs, this untitled project will allow for fans of the show to dive into new environments within the world of the undead. Viewers will not only get to see how Daryl and Carol’s past has shaped them to deal with new challenges, but they’ll also get to see how their new circumstances influence them in ways that would have never been possible during previous seasons.

The future of the undead franchise is now in the hands of these two well-known characters, and while anything is possible, you’ll just have to wait until TWD’s eleventh season to see exactly where the pair will end up.
