The Mandalorian Rumored to Make Appearance in The Book of Boba Fett Series

As Lucasfilm continues its partnership with Disney+ later this year with The Book of Boba Fett, rumors are swirling that a fan-favorite from The Mandalorian will be making an appearance. According to Comicbook.com, citing a rumor from Cinelinx, Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin, the Mandalorian himself, will be showing up in the spinoff show.

Although those involved with the show are not surprisingly staying super secretive about The Book of Boba Fett, it’s assumed that the new show will follow the events of The Mandalorian’s second season. That means plenty of action and excitement for Boba Fett and Fennec Shand.

Production on the show is already complete and spoilers are starting to leak little by little, with several people confirming that Din Djarin will be appearing at some point of the run. From a story point, it makes complete sense, since Din has formed a bond with both Boba Fett and Fennec Shand, so they wouldn’t be shy about reaching out to their friend for help if needed.

Season 3 of The Mandalorian has yet to start filming, but it’s expected to be released this winter, just as the first two seasons were. And since the two shows didn’t film at the same time, don’t be surprised if some other favorites from the mothership show up for some guest spots.

Based on the setting, it would make a lot of sense. After all, Timothy Olyphant’s popular marshal Cobb Vanth is living on Tattooine, while Amy Sedaris’ Peli Motto is nearby on Mos Eisley. Both could be assets to the infamous bounty hunter.

The Book of Boba Fett series, which is confirmed to be different from The Mandalorian season 3, is scheduled to air in December, and eight months is a long time to keep secrets, so expect to see a lot more news coming out in the weeks and months ahead. The Mandalorian season 3 is scheduled to release sometime between December 2021 and early 2022.
