After the second trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home revealed multiple villains from previous Spider-Man films, fans began to speculate that Peter Parker would not be able to fight all of them by himself. It’s a pretty valid speculation seeing that this film will have at least five villains going after our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. And now that Tom Holland and his cast mates are starting their global press tour, the Spider-Man star teased that the film will have “very violent” fight scenes.
Spider-Man: Now Way Home Star Tom Holland Interview with TV Globo
“There are some fight scenes in this movie that are very violent. And it’s a fighting style different from what we’ve seen before. But really you will get to see Spider-Man using his fists in a ‘fight or flight’ situation,” the Spider-man star told TV Globo. A translation of the interview has started to circulate on Twitter.
It’s probably safe to say that there will be a lot of opportunities for action sequences and fight scenes to take place in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Especially judging from what we’ve seen so far from the trailers. The fact that there are at least five different Spider-Man villains in the movie along with the idea that Tom Holland’s Peter Parker will even have some kind of skirmish against Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). This third solo outing for Tom Holland should have plenty of tough fights for Peter Parker.
Tom Holland himself previously stated that much of the fights and who was involved was really secretive until the Spider-Man: Now Way Home trailer was released.
“It’s actually a funny story when I met Willem for the first time. Obviously, at that time, all of the villains in the film, it was a huge secret that they were in the film. So they would walk around set with these cloaks on. Naturally, these guys were very excited to be coming back and bringing these roles back to life,” Holland revealed. “I just sort of bumped into this guy in a cloak. I was like, ‘Watch out, mate.’ He took his cloak off, and I almost got really scared — Oh shit, the Goblin’s here.”
Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters only on December 17th.
