Mr. Spoiler himself, Tom Holland, is teasing a scene from Spider-Man: No Way Home that he filmed with a mystery Marvel character and saying it blew his mind. But this time, his lips are a little more careful. Empire Magazine is dropping a feature about No Way Home that includes interviews with cast members including Tom Holland and all he would say is that it’s a casual conversation scene but sure to have fans going going wild.
In the interview with Empire, Tom Holland said doing this scene with the new Spider-Man: No Way Home mystery character is “one of the coolest scenes I’ve ever shot… It’s four people sitting at a table, having a conversation about what it’s like to be a superhero, and it was amazing.”
Shooting the scene was one thing but Holland says seeing the finished piece is even better. “The other day we watched the scene, my brother and I, and our jaws were on the floor,” added Holland.
Who could this Spider-Man: No Way Home mystery character Tom Holland is teasing?
Perhaps it’s just the obvious. A table conversation with Doctor Strange, Aunt May and Happy but with Holland’s enthusiasm, it maybe more than just non-superhero characters we’ve seen in the past two MCU Spider-Man films.
Maybe after the surprise fans got during the Venom: Let There Be Carnage mid-credit scene when Eddie Brock/Venom made a multiversal leap into Holland’s Spider-verse, it could be Parker having a conversation with Tom Hardy’s Venom? Seems a little underwhelming especially if fans are expecting a little showdown between the web slinger and symbiote.
Or, it could be what fans have been expecting since the reveal of a multiverse in Spider-Man: No Way Home — having a conversation with Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker and Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker.
It could also be the moment Marvel Studios introduces another web-slinger to its roster of superhero. Miles Morales could be that guy. Holland has been a lot more careful as to not spoil his films as of recent but the fact he’s even hinting a scene may get him another slap on the hand.
Whoever it is or whoever they are, Holland’s description of the scene is making the anticipation for this film even greater. Let’s just hope it’s not the same Luke Skywalker level cameo as Paul Bettany teased in WandaVision.
