The first solo film for Ezra Miller as the Scarlet Speedster is currently in production in the United Kingdom and director Andy Muschietti has been actively teasing fans with images on Instagram in the past few weeks. The latest reveal from The Flash director is an up close image of Barry Allen’s new costume and updated Flash logo.
Muschietti previously teased fans with an updated suit and logo for Michael Keaton’s Batman, which also included a cryptic message by adding drops of blood to the logo. Now he’s given the Flash the same courtesy.
The Flash — New Suit and Logo
The Flash director posted the image of the new logo on Instagram without adding a caption, other than tagging the official IG account for the Flash. It’s also not as ominous as seeing Keaton’s Batman logo with blood on it. At least we get to see some detail about the suit.
This suit looks like there’s a lot more tech to it than the one Barry wore in the Justice League film. Based off the image, it won’t have the snapped-on armor onto the skin-tight suit that also had some kind of threading for extra reinforcement. Also, the grooves may help with aerodynamics and airflow.
Along with the microchip looking patterns, the new logo for Barry Allen’s Flash resembles the classic logo more with its yellow lightning and the white circle behind it. Both are given a metallic treatment. It’s still unknown as to why the grooves on the suit continue into the gold border and into the silver part of the logo. It may have something to do with the how the suit reacts to the electric charge created by the Flash’s speed.
With The Flash production underway in London, more behind-the-scene photos are bound to be revealed online. There will be a good chance we’ll be seeing an image of the full suit.
Directed by Andy Muschietti, The Flash stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen a.k.a. The Flash and both Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton are confirmed to reprise their roles as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Sasha Calle from The Young and The Restless will play Supergirl. A DC multiverse happening is no secret.
The Flash will be speeding into theaters on November 4, 2022.
