DC FanDome kicked off the event this morning with the cast of Wonder Woman 1984, which stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, and Pedro Pascual along with director Patty Jenkins. At the end of the panel, Jenkins shared the new Wonder Woman 1984 trailer.
70 years after the events of the first movie, now set in the 80s, the sequel reunites Diana Prince and Steve Trevor and introduces Kirsten Wiig as Barbara Minerva aka Cheetah and Pedro Pascal as Max Lord.
The fight scene between Diana and Cheetah in the trailer looks like it’s going to be epic. Wiig’s Cheetah looks awesome and pretty comic book accurate. And we get to see another shot of Diana wearing the golden eagle armor. Steve Trevor looks like a fish out of water and we’ll probably see a lot of 80s fashion this time around.
Wonder Woman became a success for Warner Bros. and set off Gal Gadot’s career even higher. WW84 had a summer release until Covid-19. The release date is now October 2nd. Are you excited to see the sequel after seeing the new Wonder Woman 1984 trailer?
