One of the creative and interesting parts of Disney+’s hit WandaVision are the fake commercials that are included in every episode—often with Easter eggs incorporated so eagle-eyed fans can speculate on what each clue means and how they relate to Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision’s saga.
So far, every commercial has tied in some way with Wanda’s life and the latest ad from episode 7 dealt with something right up her alley—antidepressants. The name of the medication featured in the commercial was Nexus.
Comic fans know that the Nexus of All Realities is a cross-dimensional gateway which provides a pathway to any and all possible realities, which sounds exactly like what Wanda is going through on this show.
It’s already been reported that WandaVision will somehow tie into the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and it’s not too farfetched to believe Wanda’s life in the show is just one of those alternate realities that the film will deal with.
For those not familiar with the concept, Nexus Beings are described as “rare individual entities with the ability to affect probability and thus the future, thereby altering the flow of the Universal Time Stream.” In the comics, Wanda is considered the Nexus Being of Earth-61, meaning she acts as the anchor to the reality. She is taught to control her powers by Agatha Harkness in the comics as well.
But seeing as how Agnes (Kathryn Hahn) was revealed in episode seven as being the person pulling all of Wanda’s springs, it would be surprising if that comes true in the show. That’s led many to speculate that Doctor Strange will be revealed as the one that helps Wanda hone her powers. It certainly would make sense considering a huge guest star will be popping up soon. Benedict Cumberbatch certainly would fit that bill. Stay Tuned!
