New Cobra Kai season 4 images of the hit The Karate Kid spinoff show were released online today by Netflix. The upcoming season is scheduled to make its return next month. The new images reveal a new look into season 4, showing Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) training for the All-Valley Karate tournament.
Cobra Kai, the series that revisits Macchio and Zabka’s roles from the iconic film franchise The Karate Kid, continue their rivalry up until the end of the show’s third season finale. Thirty years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, Johnny Lawrence lives a down-and-out life with odd jobs seeking redemption by re-opening the Cobra Kai dojo. In doing so, it reignited his rivalry with the successful car dealer owner, Daniel LaRusso. But even with his financial success, Daniel struggles to maintain balance in his life without his mentor, Mr. Miyagi.
In the new Cobra Kai season 4 image, you’ll see Johnny practicing the infamous crane kick that Daniel used against him during the 1984 All Valley Tournament where, technically, such kick to the face was supposed to be illegal. There are also other first look images from season 4. There’s photos of what seems to be a new kid being made fun of, Kreese and Silver talking over drinks, Johnny extending a handshake to Daniel, perhaps Miguel’s prom night, and Daniel speaking to what seems to be his son.
Cobra Kai season 4 will most likely deal the previous season’s action-packed finale. The last time we saw the characters, Johnny and Daniel teamed up to train their students together to finally take down Sensei Kreese (Martin Kove) at the tournament. As the former rivals joined forces, Kreese called for his own backup by contacting his old war buddy and Cobra Kai franchise owner, Thomas Ian Griffith’s Terry Silver from The Karate Kid 3.
Cobra Kai season 4 also stars Xolo Maridueña as Miguel Diaz, Tanner Buchanan as Robby Keene, Mary Mouser as Samantha LaRusso, Jacob Bertrand as Hawk, Gianni Decenzo as Demetri, Peyton List as Tory Nichol, Courtney Henggeler as Amanda LaRusso, and Vanessa Rubio as Carmen Diaz.
Season 4 of the hit Netflix series premieres December 31, 2021 on Netflix. Check out the new Cobra Kai season 4 images below:
