It’s looking good for Spider-Man fans as it has been reported that the web-slinger has an extended future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There has been speculation that after Spider-Man: No Way Home, the partnership between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios would end and that it would also mean Tom Holland’s time as Peter Parker would come to a close.

Sony’s Spider-Man movie producer Amy Pascal tells Fandango otherwise. In a recent interview, she revealed there are at least three Spider-Man movies on the way.Tom Holland will return for at least the next film. Marvel Studios will still be involved with the upcoming movies as the events are still taking place in the MCU.

“This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel – [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie,” Pascal says. “We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel. We’re thinking of this as three films, and now we’re going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies.”

Venom: Let There Be Carnage Spoiler Below

The first major hint that Tom Holland would come back as Peter Parker was probably revealed during the post-credits scene in Venom: Let There Be Carnage when Eddie (Tom Hardy) and Venom looked like they were transported into a multiverse and saw Holland’s Peter Parker in the news on TV. This would tease a connection between Spider-Man and Venom in the future.

As for Spider-Man: No Way Home, tickets went on sale today and is dubbed as “Spider-Monday.” A play on Cyber Monday. The high demand for tickets for the third solo Spider-Man film in the MCU has already crashed some theater websites and has led to high-price third-party ticket sales.

Official Spider-Man: No Way Home Synopsis Below:

“With Spider-Man’s identity now revealed, our friendly neighborhood web-slinger is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life as Peter Parker from the high stakes of being a superhero. When Peter asks for help from Doctor Strange, the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.”

Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Zendaya as MJ, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Benedict Wong as Wong. The film also features actors reprising their roles from previous Spider-Man movies including Jamie Foxx as Electro, Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus, Willem Dafoe as the Green Goblin, Thomas Haden Church as Sandman, and Rhys Ifans as the Lizard. The film is directed by Jon Watts.

Spider-Man: No Way Home premieres in theaters on December 17th, 2021. Buy your tickets today.
