It’s looking good for Spider-Man fans as it has been reported that the web-slinger has an extended future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There has been speculation that after Spider-Man: No Way Home, the partnership between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios would end and that it would also mean Tom Holland’s time as Peter Parker would come to a close.
Sony’s Spider-Man movie producer Amy Pascal tells Fandango otherwise. In a recent interview, she revealed there are at least three Spider-Man movies on the way.Tom Holland will return for at least the next film. Marvel Studios will still be involved with the upcoming movies as the events are still taking place in the MCU.
“This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel – [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie,” Pascal says. “We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel. We’re thinking of this as three films, and now we’re going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies.”
Venom: Let There Be Carnage Spoiler Below
The first major hint that Tom Holland would come back as Peter Parker was probably revealed during the post-credits scene in Venom: Let There Be Carnage when Eddie (Tom Hardy) and Venom looked like they were transported into a multiverse and saw Holland’s Peter Parker in the news on TV. This would tease a connection between Spider-Man and Venom in the future.
