The Wakanda Files is a new book from Epic Ink. It’s a compilation of research done by T’Challa’s sister and tech expert, Shuri who is protrayed by Letitia Wright.
According to SyFy Wire, the book is “A Technological Exploration of the Avengers and Beyond.” Examples of some of the interesting facts are things like Tony Stark knowing about the existence of other realities before the time heist in Avengers: Endgame.
The Wakanda Files also reveals how Steve Rogers aka Captain America was able to survive being frozen fo 70 years.
Example: Due to Cap’s “insanely strong” body, he’s able to burn almost 8,000 calories per day just by resting. The book goes on to explain that his increased metabolism was the reason he was able to survive the freezing temperatures over the decades without dying.
Shuri learns that a classified memo sent by SHIELD director Nick Fury to Agent Coulson explained Cap’s “increased metabolism and his increased immune system put him into a cryogenic hibernation.”
Some of us wish we can have some form of increased metabolism after sheltering in place.
It’s cool to learn these new things about MCU characters. Especially the ones who may not come back — like Stark and Rogers. At least not in the form of Evans and RDJ. Recently, Evens confirmed that he will not be coming back as Captain America.
“It’s not a hard no, but it’s not an eager yes either,” he explained. “There are other things that I’m working on right now. I think Cap had such a tricky act to stick the landing, and I think they did a really nice job letting him complete his journey. If you’re going to revisit it, it can’t be a cash grab. It can’t be just because the audience wants to be excited. What are we revealing? What are we adding to the story? A lot of things would have to come together. It doesn’t feel, at this time, that would be a thing.”
Evans next blockbuster project is the the spy thriller, The Gray Man, co-starring Ryan Gosling. Avengers: Endgame director Joe Russo is the screenwriter with help by Avengers: Endgame writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The film is set for production starting January 2021.
Letitia Wright has not confirmed anything regarding the Black Panther sequels. According to Wright, they are still mourning the loss of Chadwick Boseman.
For now, The Wakanda Files: A Technological Exploration of the Avengers and Beyond by Shuri sounds like good reading while we wait for MCU films and shows to debut. You can order the paperback version here on Amazon.
