Loki Episode 3 Spoilers Below:
With Loki having located the variant criminal across time, a female version of himself from another timeline, he follows the mysterious woman into the portal she had opened. In Loki episode 3, that portal, as we soon learn, will take her directly to the headquarters of the TVA. As Lady Loki battles her way through TVA agents, Loki catches up with her and tries to offer a truce.
Not interested in Loki’s help, she tries to attack and kill him. When cornered by the TVA, she takes Loki hostage but the organization has no interest in preserving Loki’s existence. Seeking out from the situation, Loki turns on the portal and sends himself and Lady Loki to another time and place.
Loki and Lady Loki come to a treaty of sorts when it turns out Lady Loki’s TemPad for traversing time is out of power doesn’t have enough juice to generate an exit. Loki hides the TemPad in a pocket dimension for leverage. The two then discover they’ve traveled to the planet of Lamentis-1 in the year 2077.
Lady Loki Reveals Her Name in Episode 3
On this date, this alien planet is mere hours away from armageddon as a moon is due to crash into Lamentis-1. Faced with a tough situation, Loki and Lady Loki team up to find a suitable power source, with Lady Loki revealing her name as Sylvie. Who could be Enchantress from the Marvel Comics.
Loki and Sylvie’s first attempt at finding a power source goes wrong when they attempt to fool a gun-toting local woman and invade her home. Sylvie favors kicking in the door but is blasted with an energy rifle. Loki forms an illusion in an attempt to convince the woman that he’s her lost husband but he is blasted as well.
Sylvie talks about the history of Lamentis-1 and its demise, mentioning that there’s a rocket called the Ark that will take people off the planet. Loki and Sylvie soon form a plan to sneak onto a train bound for the Ark with the aid of both Loki’s deceptive tactics by playing a soldier and Sylvie’s methods of enchantment to alter minds.
Loki and Sylvie Have Some Interesting Talk in Episode 3
After boarding the train, they take some time in the bar to get to know each other. Sylvie doesn’t reveal much but Loki opens up the most about his past, including his mother, being lied to about his adoption, and his bitterness about not finding love. Sylvie chooses to rest for the trip while Loki decides to drink. They talk about if Loki ever had any plans for soon-to-be princesses — or prince.
Hours later, Sylvie awakens to a drunk Loki, out of his soldier disguise, coaxes the bar into a sing-along of Asgardian songs. Sylvie tries to convince Loki to lay low but they’re too late as the guards corner them and ask about tickets. With no tickets on them, a fight breaks out, leading to Loki and Sylvie being tossed off the train.
Not only are they far from the Ark but Loki reveals that the TemPad was damaged during the fight. With no way to power a portal out of this timeline, Loki and Sylvie decide to alternatively hijack the Ark and make their way off the planet. As they make their walk towards the launch site of the Ark, Loki and Sylvie talk some more about their ambitions.
While Sylvie remains relatively tight-lipped about most of her secrets, she does let a crucial piece of information slip out about the TVA. It turns out that all of the TVA agents are not created by the Time Keepers but Variants who don’t realize they are Variants.
Loki and Sylvie arrive at the launch site of the Ark but the moon is closing in fast on the planet. The two of them fight their way through the guards while trying to avoid chunks of the moon that continue to pummel the planet. They find themselves nearly towards the Ark but soon witness its destruction. Faced with no way off the planet or this timeline, Loki stands and stares in shock at their only hope going up in flames while Sylvie strolls off, defeated.
