Avengers star Jeremy Renner is in critical but stable condition after being injured in a weather-related snow plowing accident in Nevada.
Here’s what Jeremy Renner’s publicist, Sam Mast told CNN. “As of now, we can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather related accident while plowing snow earlier today (Jan. 1, 2023), confirmed Mast to CNN in a statement. “His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.”
Officers in the Mount Rose Highway in Reno responded to the “traumatic injury” according to the news release from Washoe County Sheriff’s Office — the community which has previously said the Disney+ Hawkeye and Academy Award-nominated actor lived.
The sheriff’s office did not provide further details on Renner’s injuries or what may have caused the accident. The statement did say that deputies coordinated with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection and REMSA Health for medical transport for the actor via care flight to a local hospital in the area.
Renner also stars in the Paramount+ series Mayor of Kingstown. The actor has been featured in several Marvel films as Clint Barton a.k.a. Hawkeye in all four Avengers films, an appearance in the first Thor film, Captain America: Civil War, and his own Hawkeye series on Disney+ starring alongside Hailee Steinfeld.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Investigation Team is looking deeper into the incident.
The Avengers actor has posted multiple videos and photos on his social media showing himself in the snowy conditions.
An Instagram post from a year ago shows a group of trees in an area with a lot of snow fall with caption that says, “How would you feel if your driveway looked like this??,” wrote Renner. “I’m so happy Mother Nature dictates my day!”
He posted a video two ago driving a snow plow and captioned, “pave new paths, holiday adventures.”
A post from a week ago shows Renner plowing snow with the caption, “Nearly done with sledding hill for for the kids.”
