Thanos Snap Is Shown Once Again In Hawkeye Episode 5
Yelena remarks coldly, “Hello, Ana.” Ana is cornered by Yelena and her sidekick but fights back. Yelena gets the drop on Ana, holding a gun to her head.
Ana fiercely tells Yelena to pull the trigger. She doesn’t and a fistfight continues throughout the mansion. Yelena then holds down Ana and states that she’s trying to help her.
While Ana struggles, Yelena instructs her partner, Sonya, to hold Anna down. While Sonya does so, Yelena readies the antidote. She sprays Ana with the gas uncovered in Black Widow that destroys the subservience of Red Room operatives.
Yelena then says the next bit is going to be scary for Ana. Ana, however, is more concerned about the mess the gas left on her rug. Yelena and Sonya are perplexed, realizing that Ana was never programmed by the Red Room.
It is then that Ana reveals she wasn’t under any control and killed for money of her own free will. The three sit down to discuss their history. Yelena confesses that she’s been on a crusade to liberate all the Black Widow assassins.
Ana then brings up Natasha and Yelena states she’s doing well. Sonya chimes in by stating that a better life for the sisters awaits them once their liberation mission is completed. Sonya jokingly refers to their ideal life as a Sex in the City fantasy.
Yelena Is Blipped Out of Existence by Thanos Snap
As Ana and Sonya laugh, Yelena somberly removes herself from the conversation. She goes to the bathroom and looks at herself in the mirror. As she washes her face, she is blipped out of existence by the Thanos snap of Avengers: Infinity War.
Yelena then returns five years later, disoriented by the change in the room she just occupied. The mansion now looks different with new paint and decorations. She readies her weapon, unsure of the danger.
She approaches a family of three, the mother being Ana. Ana states to her daughter that Yelena is an old friend. Five years have passed and much has changed.
Ana fills Yelena in on her current situation involving marriage and adopting a child. Yelena finds this is a lot to take in. She needs a minute after Ana starts saying that Yelena can live with her while she finds contract work.
Yelena, uneasy, sets her current goal of tracking down Natasha. She asks for Ana’s help in tracking her down. She finds that it is crucial to inform her sister that she is okay after such an event.

Yelena then brings up Clint’s history of killing as the Ronin. Kate brings up how Clint is still an Avenger but Yelena says that title means little. Yelena brings up how much power the Avengers have but Kate counters that being a hero involves risks and collateral damage.
Yelena reiterates that the death of Natasha is because of Clint. Kate refuses to believe this statement. Yelena then questions if Kate really knows that to be true based on the time that she has spent with Clint.
Yelena says her mission will be easy. Kate then questions if Yelena was tasked by someone else to kill Clint. She does not give an answer.

That night, Clint walks the streets with his hood up. He places a call to his wife who is getting the living room ready for Christmas Day. Clint regretfully admits this problem is getting bigger as Maya knows about their family.
As Clint brings up Black Widows getting involved, he says this plot is growing thicker. His wife states that they can just move further away. Clint says it will never be far enough.
