Fans are wondering—what’s the next Star Wars show to follow Boba Fett? Considering The Book of Boba Fett on Disney+ could wrap any day, everyone is curious about which Star Wars shows will come out after it.
The success of The Mandalorian, which originally aired in 2019 on Disney+, has creators constantly looking for new and quality content. And now that The Rise of Skywalker has concluded, they have a whole universe to work with. But the question remains—what do they plan to release next? The upcoming Star Wars TV lineup is sure to have fans sounding their lightsabers in anticipation.
On top of The Mandalorian season 2, an animated series called Star Wars: The Bad Batch was added, which became part of the major spinoffs. The next Star Wars show rumored to debut next is the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. It will feature Ewan McGregor starring once again as the beloved Jedi Master. Hayden Christensen has already agreed to play Darth Vader. Though nothing has been officially confirmed, Obi-Wan Kenobi is planned to premiere this coming May, with Star Wars creators aiming for a May 4 release date, or the official Star Wars Day.
Other planned series include Andor, a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which is another fan favorite. Andor is set to focus on the rebel Cassian Andor, who doesn’t make it out of Jyn Erso’s later movie alive. More Disney+ shows in development include Ahsoka, The Acolyte, Lando, and a second season of The Bad Batch. So, don’t worry fellow fans—there is much to anticipate from the Star Wars Universe!
Most exciting is the series focused on Ahsoka Tano, which lands the cherished Jedi into a leading, live-action role. It also plans to debut Sabine Wren. As it is said to be a sequel series to Star Wars Rebels, the speculated show would also feature Grand Admiral Thrawn, though nothing has been officially confirmed.
Even with all these projects under production, fans can still look forward to The Mandalorian season 3 airing later this year, with Pedro Pascal returning as the leading man. In the meantime, don’t forget to check out The Book of Boba Fett, which follows a bounty hunter across the galaxy and into Tattooine. All episodes and the season finale is now streaming on Disney+.
