The second Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer has fans wondering how Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) will fare in his latest adventure inside the Quantum Realm. One thing is for sure, it looks like it’ll be his toughest battle yet.
The trailer, which was released during the National College Football Championship on Monday, featured the next big baddie in the Marvel Cinematice Universe — Jonathan Major’s Kang. The Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer started with Scott thinking about how much time he lost with his daughter, Cassie (Kathryn Newton). Accidentally being transported into the Quantum Realm, the Ant-family comes face-to-face with Kang.
Kang can be heard saying, “I’m the man who can give you the one thing you want. …. time.” An enticing offer for Scott which will give him that time back with his daughter. The trailer continues with Scott fighting Kang and scenes showing multiple Scotts. Fans also get their first glimpse at Modok.
During the fight against Kang, Scott says while struggling, “I don’t have to win. We both just have to lose.” This may not be the fate fans want for Scott.
The first trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania showed the Langs and Van Dynes being transported accidentally into the Quantum Realm where they find themselves in a dangerous world while being confronted by Kang and what appears to be his army.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set to launch Phase 5 of the MCU and will introduce Kang. It hasn’t been comfirmed if this Kang variant is Kang the Conqueror — the next big villain in the upcoming Avengers: Kang Dynasty film.
