AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead Comic-Con@Home Virtual Panel
Check out AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead Comic-Con@Home virtual panel featuring the cast and crew as they discuss the upcoming sixth season which will premiere later this year. The panel includes TWDU chief content officer Scott M. Gimple, showrunners and executive producers Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, and cast members Lennie James, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Danay Garcia, Karen David, Jenna Elfman, and Rubén Blades. (Contains season 5 spoilers. You’ve been warned.)
Season six explores what becomes of the group once united by a mission to help those in need. The last time we saw the group, they were torn apart by the Pioneers. Virginia (Colby Minifie) has split the group into her far-reaching settlements. Morgan’s (James) message at the end of season five challenged the group to “Just Live”. In season 6, we’ll see what that means to each character.
The last time we saw Morgan, his fate was left a mystery. But now we see him being held captive by Virginia. And with a red eye indicating he has more to worry about. Scott Gimple, the TWD Universe chief content officer, reiterates that there could be multiple time jumps. Can this mean it’s going to match up with The Walking Dead timeline again?
“The exciting thing is, I think you’re going very surprised by the way these characters react in these new circumstances,” co-showrunner Ian Goldberg promised. “Tonally, I think you can probably tell from watching the trailer – it is going be a darker season. No doubt about it because of the way these characters are going to be tested.”
Season 6 will test the group once again as a whole and as individuals forcing them to define who they are in the real world. Fear The Walking Dead season 6 returns October 11.
