HBO Max revealed some new looks for their upcoming shows for 2022 including the much-anticipated Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon and The Suicide Squad spinoff series Peacemaker starring John Cena. The return of Westworld is also on the slate for HBO in 2022.
The short video for HBO Max revealed some glimpses for House of the Dragon, Peacemaker, Westworld Season 3, Barry Season 3, The Flight Attendant Season 2, Euphoria Season 2, the Harry Potter reunion special and more.
Because of the production delays during the COVID-19 pandemic, fans of these shows have had to wait for a couple of years or even more. There are no release dates but HBO Max commits to these titles hitting the streaming platform in 2022.

The Gilded Age starring Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon and Carrie Coon. The show is set in 1880s New York City. An adaptation of the The Time Traveler’s Wife. The Watergate series title The While House Plumbers. A crime drama titled We Own This City starring The Punisher’s Jon Bernthal. A Black Lady Sketch Season 3. The final season of His Dark Materials. A new episode for The Nevers. The Righteous Gemstones Season 3. The second season of the Gossip Girl reboot. Pretty Little Liars spinoff show titled Original Sin and finally, a Julia Child series called Julia. All these shows are scheduled for HBO and HBO Max in 2022.
As for Game of Thrones fans. They will have the chance to go back to Westeros when House of the Dragon premieres on HBO and HBO Max in 2022. The show is centered around the 200-year-old Targaryen Civil War. Also known as the Dance of the Dragons. Most of this civil war started during Viserys’ reign, with House of the Dragon kicking off just after his death. Rhaenyra, or Viserys’ chosen heir, is challenged by Aegon II, or Viserys’ son. Alicent Hightower is also involved. This divides all of Westeros into two parts: the greens, or the people who support Aegon, and the blacks, who support Rhaenyra.
