Another San Diego Comic-Con had to be postponed due to Covid-19 precautions still being implemented, but that didn’t stop the largest comic convention from giving pop-culture fans content to look forward to. The Walking Dead Comic-Con 2021 panel on Saturday gave TWD fans a sneak peek of what’s to come for the zombie show’s final season. Though it won’t replace the in-person experience, Comic-Con@Home 2021 gave folks the chance to see the TWD cast without having to wait outside for hours to get into Hall H of the San Diego Convention Center.
During the The Walking Dead Comic-Con panel with the cast members, fans got to see TWD Season 11’s final trailer, which teased new adversaries, new friendships, and more death and destruction. All the actors discussed what their characters had going on for the upcoming final season of The Walking Dead.

Lauren Cohan was asked how Maggie feels about being in the same place as her husband’s killer, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). “That’s the whole season!” Cohan replied. She also continued to talk about the latest TWD villains, the Reapers. “They’re incredibly brutal, organized warriors,” she said. “They’re formidable in a way our characters don’t often come across.”
Popular and loved TWD characters such as Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) were present during the Walking Dead Comic-Con panel. Both have somewhat become the parents of the zombie show watching over every one else’s safety. They have been around since the beginning and their character development probably evolved like nobody else.
In one of the most touching moments from the Walking Dead Comic-Con panel, Reedus was asked about his feelings on the state of their post-apocalyptic world. Reedus replied saying he didn’t feel Daryl would have the best answer to that and wishes he could hear what Rick (Andrew Lincoln) would say. Or even Hershel. He continued to talk about how his character took pieces from all his friends they’ve lost along the way and is just trying to hang on.
