WandaVision Episode 4 May Have Shown The Real Vision

WandaVision Episode 4 May Have Shown The Real Vision

WandaVision episode 4 finally showed what was happening behind the scenes. At least some of it. Titled “We Interrupt This Program”, the episode may have revealed some dark reality with Wanda and Vision’s sitcom life and how people outside are dealing with it.

ALERT: WandaVision Episode 4 SPOILERS below!

The blip scene in the beginning was a nice throwback to Avengers: Endgame when Dr. Banner brought everyone back who disappeared after Thanos’s snap. It continues with Monica Rambeau being revealed as a S.W.O.R.D. agent and how she became part of Wanda and Vision’s sitcom world.

Episode 3 left us with Geraldine/Captain Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) and Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) having a climactic encounter. Wanda mentioned she was a twin and Geraldine responded by saying “he was killed by Ultron”, which triggered Wanda. Next we see Geraldine flown out and into the real world.

WandaVision episode 4 fills in the unseen moments of Episode 3. We see Wanda using her telekinesis to “kick out” Monica from her made-up reality. What we see next was creepy and troubling. Wanda has a very different vision of Vision. It wasn’t the cheery alive android or the Paul Bettany facade. It was the dead Vision with the mind-stone ripped from his forehead.

This was a strong hint that Vision is still dead and that Wanda is creating some reality where she can live out a happy life with her husband and twins.

There are still a lot of questions left like is Wanda doing this voluntarily or is she being manipulated. Is it Vision’s real dead body that Wanda is re-animating? Did Wanda conjure up the dead Vision or was that quick flash just a visual reminder to her (and us) that he is truly dead and the Vision we are seeing is just a recreation by Wanda? And if this “dead” Vision has some life left in him, will he somehow turn on Wanda for what she’s done?

Whatever happens going forward, this series is shaping up to become something bigger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It seems it’ll shake things up in the MCU world.

WandaVision episode 4 brought back a couple characters from other MCU movies. Ant-Man’s Jimmy Choo (Randall Park) and Thor/Thor: The Dark World’s Dr. Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) both play an integral part to finding Captain Rambeau and trying to figure out who’s really behind Wanda and Vision’s alternate reality.

This also leaves us wondering if this is a tease to more creepy visuals that we’ll see in Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, which is rumored to be the first horror film from Marvel Studios.

WandaVision is now streaming all four episodes on Disney+ with new episodes coming in every Friday.
