The Disney+ series is ready to be back in action with Anthony Mackie (The Falcon) and Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier) as they reprise their Marvel movie roles. Today, production resumed in Atlanta for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and the set seems to show the U.S. Agent in action. A recent video from the Everything Georgia Twitter account appears to show U.S. Agent/John Walker in action.

Wyatt Russell, son of Kurl Russell and Goldie Hawn, plays U.S. Agent/John Walker. A super-soldier and sort of a copycat of Captain America, Walker was an experiment to work solely for the United States Government. He made his debut in the comics initially as an anti-hero. A super-patriot with a hot head. It’s uncertain to which version of John Walker we’re going to see in the show. Will he be friend or foe? Or both.
Not a lot has been revealed about The Falcon and Winter Soldier. However, Sebastian Stan did speak a little bit about the characters and what fans can expect.
“It felt like both. In a lot of ways, it felt like a movie. What I loved about it was that, tonally, it was very much in the same world that Captain America: The Winter Soldier was, which was one of my favorite experiences that I’ve ever had, period,” Stan explained. “So, in a sense, it was grounded and very much in the world as we know it. But, it’s also really jam-packed with a lot of massive, massive action scenes mixed with deep focus on character. These characters are getting so much more mileage for all of us to explore them. We can put them in situations that we’ve never been able to put them in before because you now have six hours as opposed to two.”
When production halted earlier this year due to the pandemic, Anthony Mackie reassured fans everything will be back in business when the time is right.
“We have a little bit more to go back and do, but everybody rest assured, it will come out. We are not cancelled,” Mackie said earlier this summer. “Because you know, in this business, ‘Take a little break, we’ll come back to it,’ that means they’re never coming back to it [laughs]. I was like, ‘Man, I was Captain America for all of two weeks, this sucks! How did I get fired on my day off?'”
The Falcon and Winter Soldier will be streaming on Disney+, but there is no official release date, yet. Excited to see this duo on screen once again?
