The Walt Disney Company announced that Star Wars The Mandalorian season two starts on October 30th on Disney+. The anticipated second season was expected to return in the fall, but no release date was mentioned until this morning via Twitter.
This is the day.

Season two will again center on Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin and The Child aka Baby Yoda. The upcoming season should be very exciting for fans as it’ll bring characters like the Ashoka Tano, a Jedi from Star Wars: Clone Wars and Boba Fett. Rosario Dawson will play the live-action version of Tano.
Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon also returns in The Mandalorian season two. We last saw Esposito slicing and climbing out of his fighter with a darksaber.
“I don’t want you to have any spoilers, but I did all my stuntwork on my own, without a lot of rehearsal, even though it’s a fairly big budget, technological piece with the volume and all the things that are going on,” Esposito said during an interview with Collider. “Sometimes that leaves less time to pay more attention to, and the stuntwork, by the way, has been with an Emmy nomination as well, to do that.”
There’s plenty to be excited about with Disney+ in the upcoming months. The Mulan live-action film comes to the streaming service this Friday, September 4th. Disney+ also has Marvel’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier debuting sometime later in the fall.
