The mystery of Mae’s master in Star Wars: The Acolyte has fans buzzing. With the series adhering to the Sith’s “Rule of Two,” where only a master and apprentice exist, speculation runs wild about who’s pulling the strings. SPOILERS BELOW.

Leading Theories On Who Mae’s Master Could Be

    The Shifty Smuggler

Qimir (Manny Jacinto), Mae’s (Amandla Stenberg) supposed handler, seems like an unlikely Sith Lord. Yet, his sharp mind and surprising combat skills hint at a hidden darkness. The Acolyte’s second episode throws suspicion his way when he infiltrates the apothecary and eliminates the owner. Could his bumbling act be a clever disguise? However, some fans believe this is too obvious – a red herring planted by the showrunners.

    The Enigmatic Sol

Sol (Lee Jung-jae), the Temple Guardian, oozes secrecy. He deflects Mae’s questions about her training and her mission’s true purpose. Is he simply protecting the Jedi or hiding his own Sith affiliation? This theory gains traction when Mae fails to kill him, suggesting a deeper connection.

    The Masked Figure

Star Wars: The Acolyte trailers showcase a helmeted Sith warrior, potentially Mae’s master. Intriguingly, the Sith typically have an apprentice, not an acolyte (a lower rank). Is this the true master, with the masked figure being a separate apprentice? This could upend the “Rule of Two” expectations, creating a unique power dynamic.

    The Unexpected Twist

The Acolyte might subvert expectations entirely. Mae’s master could be someone entirely unseen, perhaps a powerful figure within the Jedi Order itself. This would add a layer of complexity, forcing Mae to confront the darkness within the light.

    Mae’s Master Remains Hidden

With just two episodes out, the mystery continues to captivate viewers. The show creators are likely savoring the suspense, keeping us guessing until the big reveal. One thing’s for sure: the quest to identify Mae’s master promises thrilling twists and turns as “The Acolyte” unfolds.
