The long-awaited return of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) is no longer a pipe dream. After vanishing off into a helicopter at the end of Season 9, The Walking Dead’s iconic sheriff is back in the spotlight with the first official trailer for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, premiering February 25th on AMC and AMC+.
“My wife is my choice. My daughter is my choice. My life is my choice,” Rick says while footage of him clearing walkers at a Civic Republic facility is shown. Michonne (Danai Gurira) spent years believing Rick was dead when he actually has spent years trying to escape the most powerful military on the planet commanded by Major General Beale (Terry O’Quinn).
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live official trailer also shows the return of some familiar faces from the flagship show including Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh), who became part of the Civic Republic as Warrant Officer Stokes in The Walking Dead: World Beyond, Bailey (Andrew Bachelor) and Aiden (Breeda Wool), the two survivors that Michonne helped when she headed north in search of Rick.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live official trailer reveals lots of epic action including choppers firing missiles at buildings, lots of explosions, and of course, more walkers. The trailer leaves us questioning who the mysterious character wearing head gear and a mask is right before the title drop and ends with a close up of Michonne and her voice saying, “We can make this whole damn world ours if we want to.”
