James’ various media companies unveiled the new-look Tune Squad uniform Monday evening. You can see James wearing the jersey no. 6 instead of his usual no. 23. Maybe a sign of respect for Michael Jordan who wore no. 23 in the original Space Jam movie in 1996. No. 6 was James’ jersey number with the Miami Heat and for the USA National Team.
Familiar faces (and cartoon characters) like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and others will be joining Lebron James. Don Cheadle (Avengers Infinity, Avengers Endgame) and Sonequa Martin-Green (The Walking Dead and Star Trek: Discovery) will also be joining the cast.
Lakers teammates Anthony Davis and Kyle Kuzma and current NBA players Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard, and Chris Paul are expected to make cameo appearances, along with WNBA superstars Diana Taurasi, Nneka Ogwumike, and Chiney Ogwumike.
