According to TMZ, there was an armed man standing close to Migos members, Takeoff and Quavo just moments before the shooting occurred. That man is now the person of interest in Takeoff’s death.
TMZ obtained the video with the new angle of what happened only seconds before the gunfire. You can see a man dressed in black with a satchel and a handgun in his right pocket. You can watch the video below.
As you can see in the picture (credit to TMZ), the weapon is his pocket with his hand on it. Quavo was involved in the heated discussion prior to the shooting. Wearing a bright orange shirt, he walks behind the armed man 2 seconds before the first shot is fired.
TMZ also reports that there’s nothing in the video proving the armed man fired first, but about 5 seconds later he is seen raising his weapon and seems to be firing it. At this point, it’s unclear where Takeoff and Quavo were in location to the man firing the gun.
Houston PD tells TMZ that they have seen this video, and they have made the man the person of interest. They haven’t identified the man yet.
As reported by TMZ, Takeoff was standing a few feet away behind Quavo outside the bowling and billiards hall early Tuesday morning when he was shot and killed.
At least 10 shots were heard being fired. Takeoff was hit in the head and was pronounced dead on the scene. There were two other victims — a 23-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman. They were taken to the hospital in private vehicles.
Born in Lawrenceville, Georgia, Takeoff was 28 years old and was part of a rap group called Migos along with Quavo and Offset. He’s real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball. He had just released an album with fellow Migos member Quavo under the rap duo name Unc & Phew.
