She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 2 begins right after the events of Jennifer’s trial. After defeating Titania, the news is all abuzz about Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) and her Hulk powers. She is promptly declared She-Hulk.
Jennifer celebrates her won case and superhero debut at a bar in her She-Hulk form. As she drinks with a crowd, she talks with her paralegal co-worker, Nikki (Ginger Gonzaga). Jennifer really doesn’t like the name She-Hulk and feels as though it’s derivative.
The topic then comes up of Jennifer should join the Avengers. Jennifer refuses on the basis of the Avengers not having healthcare or maternity leave. Her boss then wants a word with her.
Jennifer’s trial is thrown out because of her She-Hulk abilities. She is then fired and seeks a new firm to work at as a lawyer. Nobody, however, is interested in hiring her as they consider her Hulk powers a liability.
After refusing help from Bruce Banner, she struggles to find a new job. Jennifer is then called over to her parent’s house for dinner. Her mom and dad greet her with comfort and invite her to eat.
The family dinner is awkward. Other family members talk about being promoted and Jen’s mom speaks about fixing her up with a date. Jen’s father then asks what the deal is with Hawkeye’s arrows. Another family member speaks of fixing up Jen’s hair.
Later in the evening in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 2, Jen has a one-on-one talk with her dad. She speaks openly about hating having her Hulk abilities revealed. Her dad tries to reassure her that everything will be okay, considering the other Hulk in the family.
Jen spends the rest of her evening at a bar. She is approached by Mr. Holliway (Steve Coulter) of Goodman, Lieber, Kurtzberg & Holliway. He offers to hire her and she promptly accepts as long as she can bring on her own paralegal. The terms are agreeable.
The next day in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 2, Jen goes to work at the building for Goodman, Lieber, Kurtzberg & Holliway. She arrives in human form and is welcomed by Mr. Holliway. However, Holliway informs Jen that she’ll be heading a superhero division and that she should always be in her She-Hulk form.
As She-Hulk addresses the camera amid the tour of the office, she stresses about only being hired as a superhero. When pressed by Holliway for an opinion, she remains unopinionated. Jen then arrives at her own office and meets Nikki, who is excited about this office.
Jen and Nikki are then welcomed by one of the lawyers. He gifts them a gift basket and also a diagram of where to find the best bathroom. Jen thanks him with a straight face.
Jen meets with Holliway about her first case. Holliway informs her that her first case will be centered around the release of Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth). Blonsky is better known as Abomination from The Incredible Hulk.
Jen, however, has a conflict of interest. After all, Blonsky previously tried to kill Bruce. Holliway, however, informs her that Blonsky is willing to accept Jen’s representation and that if she doesn’t take the job she’ll be fired.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 2 continues with Jen arriving at a maximum security prison and is only allowed to enter the area in her human form. She is informed by one of the guards about taking extra precautions when meeting with Abomination. Her jokes about Silence of the Lambs are not appreciated.
Abomination is seen in a contained cell in his human form, reprised by Tim Roth. Blonsky speaks about how reformed he’s become. He now chooses not to adopt the form of Abomination.
Jen is surprised that Blonsky says he wants to start a new life. The topic of Bruce then comes up and how Blonsky tried to kill him. He specifies it wasn’t personal and that he was acting as a soldier, blaming the government’s chemical concoction for his rampage and transformation.
Blonsky argues that it isn’t fair he’s reformed and is still in prison while the Hulk walks free. Jen aims to get right to the point and gives Blonsky some pointers about making his case. Blonsky, however, keeps stating that he wants redemption and asks for her help.
Jen mulls over whether or not to take the case. The next day, Holliway demands an answer via voicemail. She decides to call Bruce (Mark Ruffalo), now in Hulk form, for advice.
Jen fills Bruce in on her current situation and second chances. She keeps talking while Bruce struggles to get a word into the conversation that gets deeply philosophical. Bruce, however, can read her inflection and understands she wants to take the job.
Bruce thinks she should accept the case as well. He’s buried the hatchet with Blonsky and hopes Jen can make a good case. Jen then tells Bruce her superhero name and how embarrassed she is about it.
Jen then asks if Bruce is ever going to visit her in Los Angeles. Bruce says he is busy at the moment. The camera then pulls back to reveal he’s on a Sakaarian spaceship that’s about to go into deep space.
Jen calls up Holliway and informs him she’s accepting the case. Optimistic, Jen says she has no qualms about the case and she’s 100% devoted to the trial. Holliway is happy but then tells Jen to turn on the news.
After hanging up, Jen hears news revealing Abomination has previously escaped from prison. The footage is revealed of his underground fighting match during the events of Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings. Jen then turns to the camera and remarks, “Oh…that sucks.”
In the mid-credit scene in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 2, Jen is in her Hulk form at her parent’s house during a car repair. She holds up the car with one arm while it’s repaired. She is then seen performing various household chores like mounting TVs and bringing in groceries.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episodes 1 and 2 are now streaming on Disney+.
