    She-Hulk Review Bombing On IMDB

The She-Hulk review bombing on IMDB before it premiered seems to be on-going trend against Disney. The company has taken some hits from negative bombardment of negative reviews in the past with a few of their most recent projects both on the big screen and on Disney+. Most recently, Eternals, Moon Knight, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Lightyear, and Ms. Marvel have all suffered from this new review bombing trend. She-Hulk: Attorney At Law is next to receive that treatment.

The negative reactions have come before the premiere of recent movies/tv shows and especially afterward for divisive content and representation. Marvel’s Eternals received negative reactions because it featured the MCU’s first LGBTQIA+ relationship. Moon Knight was bombed for its inclusion of alleged propaganda. More recently. Ms. Marvel is considered to be more of a kids show and with woke content. Eternals was even banned in some countries who frown upon same-sex relationships.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder seemed to have dodged this review bombing of what’s come out for the MCU in 2022. She-Hulk: Attorney At Law is currently streaming its first episode on Disney+, and even with positive early reactions, the series is suffered from review bombing a day before its premiere.

The latest Marvel Studios’ show faced review bombing on IMDb with most of the negative reactions coming from men over 30. She-Hulk is getting positive responses from women and younger men. It’s the 30+ aged men who seems to have a problem with the MCU’s legal comedy.

A critic referred to Entertainment Weekly’s She-Hulk review where the news publication called the show “Marvel’s Horniest Show Yet” and wondered if Disney had “forgotten who their target market is.”

“This is the EXACT headline in Entertainment Weekly’s article about how ‘sex positive’ the show is. Umm, Disney, have you forgotten who your target market is? How many billions of dollars would you have NOT made off of families if the Avengers were sexing it up?”

She-Hulk is also getting negative reactions regarding its CGI and writing.

“If you can get past the 1995 Syfy channel effects, you are left with terrible writing and premise for a ‘show.’ The best argument against this show is how much the “critics” and media are pushing it. Need I say more, spare your eyes and watch Iron Man 1 again.”

Marvel Studios has been facing a lot of special effects criticisms from their recent projects. Could it be the studio is pumping out this shows out too quickly?

Review bombings before the premiere of a movie or tv show is considered quite dangerous in terms of attracting viewership. Many continue to give opinions before even seeing a movie or show. Maybe entertainment news sites like IMDB should prohibit users from giving their opinions until after premieres to prevent review bombings. Then again, that might open up another can of worms. That’s a discussion on its own and for another day.

She-Hulk: Attorney At Law episode 1 is now streaming on Disney+.
